Our Commitment to the December 2026 DMR Cohort

SHRM Fayetteville Area is preparing to transition to a SHRM Dual Membership Release, or DMR, chapter beginning in December 2026. This is an important step for our chapter, and we want our members to understand what it means, why we are moving forward, and how it supports a stronger membership experience.

At its core, the DMR model more closely connects local chapter membership with SHRM national membership. For members, this can make joining, renewing, and staying connected easier to understand. Instead of navigating separate or unclear membership paths, members will have a more streamlined experience that better reflects the relationship between national SHRM resources and local chapter involvement.

For SHRM Fayetteville Area, this transition supports long-term chapter growth and sustainability. Cleaner membership records, clearer renewal communication, and stronger visibility among HR professionals connected to SHRM all help us better serve our members. It also gives prospective members a clearer view of the value of participating locally while remaining connected to the broader SHRM network.

This decision is not just administrative. It is about improving the member experience.

Strong local chapters depend on more than events and announcements. They depend on accurate information, consistent communication, accessible renewal processes, and a clear path for HR professionals to stay engaged over time. Moving toward DMR helps us build that foundation.
