SOUTHEAST IOWA SHRM CHAPTER #507 MEETING MINUTES

Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

The SEIA SHRM meeting was held on February 11th, 2026 via Teams and In-Person. President Elect – Allison Monohon, welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order. 

Roll Call: Stacey Bone, Allison Monohon, Jolyn Hartson, Melissa Hunt, Barb Codjo, Courtney Ferree, Kristina Jones, Sheryl Proctor, Sofia Waters, Kate Clark, Alison Blommers

Secretary’s Report

  • A motion was made to approve the secretary’s report as presented by Barb Codjo and supported by Stacey Bone; motion carried 

Treasurer’s Report

  • Current account balance (02/11/2026) - $14,122.72.
  • A motion was made to approve the treasurer’s report by Allison Monohon and supported by Sofia Waters; motion carried 

Membership

  • Current membership – 48 members. If you have anyone you would like to recommend to the Chapter please do so.

Certification 

  • In person and Virtual Options available
  • Testing Window:– 05/01/26 – 7/15/26, Earlybird Applications accepted now through 03/30/2026. Standard Applications accepted from 03/31/2026 – 05/29/2026
  •  SHRM member costs $420 for Earlybird. SHRM member costs $495 for Standard.

Legislature and Diversity

  • Indian Hills has their Diversity Conference now re-named to Unique & United on Saturday, March 28th. Cost is $40.

Programs 

Communications 

  • If anyone has questions to ask the group or need feedback on a topic, they can send the question to mhunt@mahaskahealth.org and she will send it out to the member group.
  • SEIA SHRM now has a LinkedIn account. Go connect!

Workforce Readiness/College Relations

  • Sofia Waters has an upcoming meeting scheduled with Kelly to go over ways to kick this new to us Committee off.

There was no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Kristina Jones to adjourn the meeting and supported by Stacey Bone.
