SOUTHEAST IOWA SHRM CHAPTER #507 MEETING MINUTES

Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

The SEIA SHRM meeting was held on June 10th, 2026, via Teams and In-Person. President- Courtney Ferree, welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order. 

Roll Call: Allison Monohon, Courtney Ferree, Melissa Hunt, Stacey Bone, Barb Codjoe, Alison Blommers, Jolyn Hartson, Lela DeVries, Charity Noe, Kate Clark

Secretary’s Report

·         A motion was made to approve the secretary’s report as presented by Barb Codjoe and supported by Charity Noe; motion carried 

Treasurer’s Report

·         Current account balance (05/08/2026) - $15,610.62.

·         A motion was made to approve the treasurer’s report by Jolyn Hartson and supported by Barb Codjoe; motion carried 

Membership

·         Current membership – 41 members. If you have anyone you would like to recommend to the Chapter, please do so.

Certification 

• In person and Virtual Options available
• Testing Window: – 05/01/26 – 7/15/26. Second testing window is 12/01/2026-02/15/2027. Can apply now until 12/24/2026 for the second testing window.
•  SHRM member costs $420 for Earlybird. SHRM member costs $495 for Standard.

Legislature and Diversity

·         Courtney reminded us all to check in with our employees as there has been lots of items in the news lately that can stir up all sorts of emotions.

Communications 

• If anyone has questions to ask the group or need feedback on a topic, they can send the question to mhunt@mahaskahealth.org and she will send it out to the member group.
• Iowa SHRM Conference. The dates are October 7^th-9^th in Coralville. Registration is now open.
• After recent survey results, we are going to be trying out the option of holding a meeting on Tuesday from 11am-12:30pm. This will be for the August 11^th meeting.
