National Chapter awards are a result of demonstrated excellence in achievement areas that include: overall chapter operations, community involvement, core leadership, and supporting the SHRM mission. We are proud to say our local CCSHRM Chapter has received a National award each year since 1992.

SHRM Florida

"Representing over 16,000 individual members, SHRM Florida is the state affiliate for SHRM. Founded in 1948, SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. SHRM has more than 250,000 members and is the global voice of the profession.

SHRM Florida is a 100% volunteer entity whose primary objective is to support the mission and initiatives of SHRM through education. We coordinate professional development efforts, and serve as the conduit for communication among SHRM and chapters as well as at-large members.

The state of Florida has 28 SHRM affiliated chapters and those chapter presidents sit on the Council. In addition, because of the size of Florida, the state is divided into ten geographic districts with district directors that provide support to the chapters in their region. A president and executive committee manage the daily operation of the Council.

There are also several standing committees that represent the key areas of focus either for the HR profession or within the SHRM Florida association. Some of those areas include certification, college relations, governmental affairs, membership, SHRM Foundation, and workforce readiness."
