SECURE 2.0 - Retirement Plan Deadline Dash

Brea Dantin

Retirement Plan Advisor, Shepherd Financial, LLC

SECURE 2.0 was signed on December 29, 2022 and we have been talking about it ever since. Now the decisions get real. Retirement Plan Documents must be amended for Secure 2.0 provisions by 12/31/2026. Many retirement plan document providers will want your final decisions by 3rd quarter 2026. This informative session will review provisions both mandatory and option, flag provisions that are considered protected benefits, and share trends we are seeing both the good and the bad.

In this session, you will:

  • Identify key provisions.
  • Learn how others are implementing the provisions and what is backfiring.
  • Prepare for year-end and provider deadlines.
