Retention Isn't a Perk Problem- It's a People Strategy Problem.

Organizations often assume that improving retention requires adding more perks, increasing engagement activities, or creating the latest workplace trend. Yet despite investments in pizza parties, flexible swag budgets, game rooms, and employee appreciation programs, employers continue to struggle with turnover.

The reality is that employees rarely leave because there wasn't enough fun in the workplace. They leave because of unclear expectations, poor management, limited growth opportunities, inconsistent communication, inadequate onboarding, compensation concerns, and a lack of connection to the organization's mission and future.

In this practical and engaging session, Amy Boston, SHRM-CP, draws from nearly two decades of HR leadership and consulting experience to explore the real drivers of employee retention. Amy will challenge common misconceptions about turnover and help leaders identify the workplace practices that have the greatest impact on keeping top talent.

Participants will learn how to evaluate their current retention strategy, recognize warning signs before employees disengage, and build a workplace experience that encourages employees to stay, grow, and contribute at a higher level. Rather than focusing on costly perks, attendees will leave with actionable strategies that address the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through development, leadership, and career progression.
