Join SHRMBC for a workshop focused on how HR professionals can better support today’s workforce, including senior employees and those balancing careers with caregiving responsibilities. Representatives from the Alabama State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) will discuss no-cost resources available to employees and their families throughout Mobile, Baldwin, and Escambia Counties. Attendees will learn about Medicare counseling, caregiving support, in-home care resources, prescription assistance, wellness programs, legal advocacy, nutrition services, and other community-based support programs designed to reduce employee stress and improve overall well-being.
The session will also provide insight into Medicare eligibility, including coverage for individuals age 65 and older, as well as certain individuals under age 65 who qualify after receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits for 24 months. Participants will learn how these services can help organizations strengthen employee retention, support workforce planning, reduce HR’s administrative burden, and provide meaningful employee support at no additional cost to the employer.
This Workshop is eligible for 4 SHRM and HRCI Credits.
