Message to BAHRA Members
We want to share an important update with you. The vote on the Resolution of Dissolution has been adopted.
While this means there will be no further events scheduled for BAHRA, we want to pause and sincerely thank you. Your involvement, dedication, and support have meant a great deal over the years, and BAHRA’s impact is a direct reflection of the members who made it such a strong and meaningful community.
As we move through this transition, we remain committed to keeping you informed. A new BAHRA Information page will be launched next week on the SHRM Colorado website, where you can find updates and important information as we work toward the final dissolution. Please stay tuned for more information as details continue to be shared.
Although BAHRA will no longer host events, you are warmly encouraged to continue connecting and engaging by attending events with our other SHRM Colorado chapters. When attending events hosted by another chapter, you will receive the member rate. A list of local chapters and upcoming events can be found here:

Thank you again for being part of BAHRA and for everything you’ve contributed.
Board & Member FAQ
General Member FAQ
Why is BAHRA dissolving?
The chapter has faced a significant decline in board leadership, member engagement, and financial sustainability. After extensive efforts to rebuild, the Board determined that the chapter can no longer operate effectively or meet SHRM’s chapter requirements.
What does dissolution mean for me as a member?
The chapter will formally cease operations. You will no longer receive programming, events, or communications from BAHRA. Membership purchased through SHRM remains active.
Will I receive a refund for dues?
If dues were paid through SHRM, they are not retained locally. If you paid local dues, the board will communicate with you individually based on remaining funds and obligations.
What happens to remaining funds?
Remaining funds, after obligations, will be handled per SHRM policies and nonprofit regulations.
What happens to records?
Official files will be transferred to SHRM or securely disposed of per retention rules.
