VP Programs

Position Summary:
Research, locate and confirm speakers for monthly membership meetings and other events.

Responsible To:
The members of the chapter
The chapter president
State council professional development director

Responsibilities:

  • Provide information regarding potential speakers and topics at monthly board meetings
  • Coordinate efforts with other chapters and members of boards of directors to best serve the membership.
  • Contact potential speakers and make arrangements for monthly meetings including AV needs, handouts and other needs of the speaker.
  • Review chapter bylaws with speakers concerning solicitation of members.
  • Provide VP of Programs Assistant, Administrative Assistant and Member Benefits Director with outline, bio and picture of speaker as soon as available.
  • Review final preparations for meetings to assure that programs run smoothly.
  • Review program evaluations for feedback to be used in planning future events.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategic planning for the chapter.
  • Represent the chapter in the human resources community.
  • Attend all monthly membership and board of directors meetings.
